Representing our school, students an staff of the Services Academy attended the Armistice Day service at the Otahuhu Returned Services Association plot again this year. On 11 November at 11am, people from Commonwealth (and Allied) countries stop for two minutes to commemorate the soldiers who have fought and died in conflict. The Armistice, meaning truce, was signed on this day and time to end World War One in 1918. Many thanks to the Services Academy students and staff for taking the time to remember other people’s ultimate sacrifices.
