Blues Rugby

Manukau Institute of Technology with the help of Blues Rugby and  Otahuhu College made a video on how continuing learning after leaving school can make a big difference to career prospects, job satisfaction and future earnings.

On Thursday 30 July, Blues players came to the Otahuhu College to talk with our 1st XV and Girls rugby teams about these topics.

The discussion was filmed and an edited version will be posted on the MIT Facebook page.

The video featuring well known sporting role models is a way of making sure more young people in our community get to hear about options they have to continue learning as well as how education can fit around work and other commitments.

One of the big things that’s happened recently is the Government made all trades training free for the next two years.

This means you can study cost-free towards an essential job in the trades or healthcare at MIT either full or part-time, with some certificates only taking six months to complete.
