Following the Governments announcement, the Government is asking all students that can remain at home do so, and we will update you on distribution of laptops and learning packs.
Otahuhu College will begin online learning from Tuesday. We are preparing as if the lockdown will be extended.
We appreciate that there will be some families that will need to have their children at school. Therefore Otahuhu College will be open for supervision of students in Year 9 and Year 10 from 9:00am. Students will be supervised by staff . There will be no face to face teaching during Level 3 as all our staff will begin on Tuesday with their online classes. Students will be based in a classroom and will break for interval and lunch. The canteen will not be open and physical distancing and hygiene measures will be met. If you are needing to send your child into school then I ask that you please contact Mrs Va’aelua or Mrs Stretton by 8am on Monday. This will enable us to ensure we have the correct ratio of staff onsite.

Mrs Ruth Filiva’a Stretton rstretton@otahuhucollege.school.nz or text 0212552437
I must reiterate that if you can keep your child at home to continue their learning then that is the best option for them. If you cannot, then please send them to school knowing they will be looked after.
