French Film Festival

A selection of extra engaged Year 9 and Year 10 students had the opportunity of attending a screening of the new French movie Les Parfums at the Bridgeway Cinema this week.  This event was the first time in recent history that Otahuhu College students have been able to participate in the international French Film Festival, which is a rich source of culture that joins New Zealand to the network of French-speaking countries in the Pacific, Europe, Africa, and other parts of the world.  Students made the most of the movie as a chance to listen to real, spoken French and see some snapshots of France’s cityscapes.  They also enjoyed the trip to the North Shore as an occasion to discover more of Auckland’s geography, and they are pictured here enjoying views of the Harbour Bridge before the film began!
