Kia Orana . This years theme for Cook Island language week is:
“Kia pūāvai tō tātou Reo Māori Kūki Āirani I Aotearoa” translates as “The Cook Island Māori language may blossom throughout New Zealand”.
Cook Island language week was celebrated in normal Kūki style with vibrant costumes, performances and food. The students took charge and organised all performances with help from some of the Mama’s. Being able to celebrate and share the Cook Island language and culture with the rest of the school is truly makes one proud. Meitaki.
