Practical’s in Science

This week saw our Year 9 classes involved in studying the human body systems. One system covered is the respiratory system and our students got to dissect the lungs of a sheep. They were fascinated to see how a piece of the lung could float on water and when squeezed would release bubbles. If you have a son or daughter in Year 9, ask them about the parts of the lung and how they work. As you can see from the photos, there was a lot of excitement around dissecting the tissue and having a good look inside each lung.
