At Otahuhu College we recognise the value, talent and new skills of our incoming Year 9 students and want to acknowledge outstanding performance with the following Scholarships:

Otahuhu College Top Achiever Scholarships Value $2000

The main purpose of this Scholarship is to recognise and reward exceptional academic performance combined with outstanding sporting, artistic, cultural and /or leadership achievements.

Academic Scholarship Value $1500

Students applying for the Academic Scholarship need to complete the scholarship application form.

STEM Scholarship Value $1000

For students with exceptional Science, Mathematical or Digital Technology expertise.

Performing and Visual Arts Scholarship Value $1000

Arts scholarships may be awarded to students excelling in the Performing Arts area (music, dance, drama) as well as Visual Arts (painting, design). Your application should include achievements to date and samples of your work. Auditions will also be held for music students.

Sports Scholarship Value $1000

Please forward your written application to the school, including your achievements to date and a written reference from your coach or similar.

Please attach the following information:

1. A 250 word statement explaining the reasons for wishing to attend Otahuhu College, academic goals and career aspirations. Also include why you are deserving of such a scholarship.

2. A most recent school report and any other relevant information to support this application including school, community, cultural and sporting achievements.

3. The names and contact details of two character references in support of your application. One referee should be from the school, cultural group, religious group, sports club, or a community group. The second must be from the Principal or a representative of the Principal.

All scholarship funds will be credited to an account in the student’s name at the College. This fund will then be used for educational purposes for as long as the student is enrolled at Otahuhu College. This could include the purchase of uniform, material fees, external exam fees, school trips and camps and other educational costs.
